FAQ
Arma 3 Exile - Missions
Mission vehicles in that sense no longer exist. Most vehicles, except for rewards from static missions, must be claimed. Claimed vehicles run on the player's own account and can therefore be replaced. All vehicles that do not run on the player's account will not be replaced.
Vehicles from static missions are generally not replaced.
The following requirements must be met for Roaming AI to spawn:
- At least 1 player
- Maximum of 15 players
- Maximum AI count of 150
If the requirements are not met, the spawn of new Roaming AI will be blocked. Existing ones will continue to be processed on the server.
Roaming AI will be deleted once the AI count reaches 250.
- more than 30 players: 10 minutes
- more than 20 players: 15 minutes
- less than 20 players: 25 minutes
- when there is no player in 1000m radius: 15 minutes (skips to other values when players are in 1000m radius)
- when AI is naked: 2 minutes
The unit scanner can then be activated via the XM8. By default, all vehicles, static weapons, crates and living AI are displayed. Alternatively, dead AI can be displayed.
The standard range is 200m, but can be extended to 1000m. For every 15 kills of AI, 1m is added.
Based on the Laws of War DLC campaign, there are minefields that need to be cleared.
Clearing can be done:
- with vehicles
- with a drone
- on foot with a Demining Kit
It is also recommended to carry a Mine Detector.
The cleared mines can be sold at the Trader. In addition, a crate spawns that also contains some mines. This is used in case players do not clear the mines on foot.
The general template for missions can be downloaded here: http://sys.avmg.eu/public/dl/arma3/mission_template.VR.zip. The template can be loaded directly in the Eden Editor.
Please note the following:
Normal Missions
- do not Reward Crate and Reward Vehicles
- statics (HMG, GMG etc.) can be moved if the objects require this
- no additional statics (all statics are randomised)
- no additional vehicles
- do not set AI spawns
- objects must be built around the Crate and statics (important: no objects on objects!)
Mini Statics (Template)
- do not move Reward Crate and Reward Vehicles
- statics (HMG, GMG etc.) may be moved
- additional statics can be set up (depending on their use, set up the specific static, e.g. HMG, GMG, AT, AA)
- no additional vehicles
- do not set AI spawns
- objects must be built around the crate (important: no objects on objects!
Mini Statics / Statics (directly on the map)
- reward Crate and Reward Vehicles can be moved
- statics (HMG, GMG etc.) may be moved
- additional statics may be set up (depending on the benefit, set up the specific static, e.g. HMG, GMG, AT, AA)
- additional vehicles (max. 4 in total) may only be set for large statics
- AI spawns may only be set for large statics
- objects can be set freely on the terrain
Attributes must not be changed for objects. I do this manually.
If you have completed a mission, please send it to me via DM in Discord. The message should have the following format:

Missionstext (on finish):
Kind of reward in crate:

Roadblocks are double-sided street blockades guarded by AI. Each side contains a sandbag bunker position and two HMGs.
Roadblocks do not spawn immediately when the server starts and are only triggered when a player is within 1000 metres of the roadblock on foot or in a ground vehicle.
The following additional requirements must be met for roadblocks to spawn:
- At least 5 players
- Maximum 30 players
- Maximum AI count of 200
If the requirements are not met, the spawn of new roadblocks will be blocked. Existing ones will continue to be processed on the server.
You can locate side missions using the following items:
- Handheld Radio; Range: 500m
- Radio Backpack; Range: 1000m
- Service Vehicle (Radio); Range: 2000m
With each successful located side mission you'll get 5 skill points.
Minefields are designed to be cleared. Each mine can be sold to the trader, which is why minefields can also be seen as a good alternative to missions.
To defuse mines, you will need: Demining Kit and Mine Detector
To defuse a mine, it must be targeted and made visible. A mine can be made visible by targeting it and pressing T.
In addition to standard equipment such as detectors and drones, there are Rubber Duck variants with increased detection range.
